Northern Crane Services, Inc. (“Northern Crane”), a NC Services Group ("NCSG") company, today announces the acquisition of A-1 Crane & Bridge Rentals Ltd. (“A-1”). Headquartered in Grande Prairie, Alberta, A-1 was founded over 25 years ago and is the largest crane operating company based in Grande Prairie, Alberta and provides crane services to northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia. In addition to crane services, A-1 rents and sells various lengths of portable bridges.

As part of the transaction, Northern Crane welcomes Dean Schmied and his management team to Northern Crane and looks forward to providing a wide range of equipment and resources to A-1’s existing customers. A-1 Crane Services Inc., the new operating company will be a wholly owned subsidiary of NCSG, and Dean will regionally manage the northwestern Alberta and northeastern BC operations.
